The Outreach program is a 16-day Physical and Health Education credit course that introduces and focuses on outdoor summer activities. Students spend 7 days at the Gould Lake Outdoor Centre learning new skills and preparing for a 9-day canoe trip into the wilderness of Algonquin Park.
This program teaches students how to live side-by-side with one another, challenge themselves mentally and physically and how to canoe trip safely using low-impact practices.
Successful students will receive a grade 10 phys-ed credit in our outdoor classroom. Outreach is a stepping stone to our Outdoor Pursuits and Outdoor Skills programs.
